We are facing tough economic times today, but strong leadership is essential to the survival of all organizations. General sessions will focus on leadership skills and strategies needed when the economy rebounds and recovers, emphasizing personal examples and thought processes about how to reinvent, re-create, and re-energize oneself, one’s business, and one’s employees.
The Ohio State University President E. Gordon Gee will provide a brief welcome to kick off the conference on April 21. General session speakers include Joyce Beatty, Ohio State’s senior vice president for Outreach and Engagement; Wiley “Chip” Souba, vice president and executive dean for health sciences and dean of Ohio State’s College of Medicine; Julie Graber, managing director of The Institute on Women; and Carole Anderson, dean of Ohio State’s College of Dentistry.
Concurrent breakout sessions will address innovation, prioritizing, diversity, globalization, creating prominence; collaboration/partnering; facilitation; inspiration/motivation; teaching tools; and maximizing creativity. The conference will conclude with a panel discussion about Generational Perspectives on Leadership moderated by Keith Smith, associate vice president, Agricultural Administration and director, OSU Extension.
