How is vacation and sick leave accrual determined?
Vacation and sick leave earned each pay period is based on actual number of hours worked (up to a maximum of 40 hours per week).

This means that part-time employees earn vacation and sick leave on any “extra” hours they work in a pay period, up to 40 hours maximum per week.

The maximum number of hours per week that any employee can earn vacation or sick leave time on is 40 hours. For example, if an employee works more than 40 hours in a week, no extra vacation/sick leave is earned for the hours worked beyond 40.
